Ascom receives two orders from Tier-1 Operator to manage wholesale network platform

EUR 10 Million Orders Establish Ascom as one of World’s Premier Network Solutions Providers; Orders Follow Introduction of the New Electronic Exchange Platform

Aachen, Germany, July 9, 2013 -- Ascom Network Testing’s Business Unit Systems & Solutions (www.ascom.com) today announced that it has been selected to maintain, support and upgrade a telecom wholesale management platform on behalf of one of Europe’s largest mobile and fixnet operators. The two orders have a combined value exceeding EUR 10 million and will be fulfilled over a 36-month period.

Michael Wallrath, Managing Director, Ascom Systems & Solutions, said: “The new orders demonstrate our ability to provide the kind of leading-edge IT tools and network solutions that carriers throughout the world can depend on to streamline their interconnect processes and strengthen network performance.”

Ascom will manage all aspects of the platform overhaul, including IT management and analysis, and integrate Ascom-developed software modules to better manage and optimize voice and non-voice business processes, such as billing, purchasing and interconnect agreement management. System upgrades will also be undertaken to facilitate routing efficiencies, improve QoS and QoE, and lower operational costs.
